Project Name: Manitoba-India

Theme: The educational focus will be social services.

Educational activities could include involvement in youth issues, environment, gender, economy, social justice, etc., depending on the availability in the specific community.

Your Project Supervisor will provide you with more information at your orientation camp (POC).

Official language: Primarily English and Hindi.

The majority of the Indian participants will arrive with a very good grasp of English as it is one of the languages of communication in India.

Canadian participants are strongly encouraged to begin learning Hindi which is the national language of India and/or the local dialect of the host community.

SPYM is a non-profit organization working towards the prevention of drug abuse & STD/ HIV / AIDS and Promotion of reproductive health.

The head office is situated In New Delhi, and has 22 regional branches concentrated mostly in the North and North Eastern States of India.
